Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Perimeter, an external attack-surface management platform operated by Mithras R&D AS ("Mithras", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organization you represent.

1. Service description

Perimeter continuously discovers, monitors, and assesses internet-facing assets (such as domains, hosts, services, and certificates) that you have authorized us to examine. The service collects publicly observable information, performs non-destructive scanning of authorized assets, and produces findings, risk scores, and reports intended to help you understand and reduce your external attack surface.

2. Account eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Authorization to scan

You warrant that you own, control, or are explicitly authorized by the owner to have scanned every domain, IP address, or other asset you submit to Perimeter. Submitting assets you are not authorized to test is a material breach of these Terms and may violate applicable computer-misuse laws. We may require evidence of ownership or authorization (for example, DNS verification) and may refuse or suspend scanning of any asset at our discretion.

4. Acceptable use

Your use of the service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violations of the Acceptable Use Policy are violations of these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring subscription basis.
  • Fees are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period; cancellation takes effect at the end of that period.
  • We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
  • Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

6. Intellectual property

Mithras and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the service, including all software, models, and documentation. You retain all rights in the asset inventories you submit and in reports generated for your tenant. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and your reports for your internal security purposes during the term of your subscription.

7. Disclaimers

Findings produced by Perimeter are informational and are not a guarantee of security. The service does not detect every vulnerability or exposure, may produce false positives or false negatives, and is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You remain solely responsible for the security of your systems and for validating and remediating findings.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mithras shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Suspension and termination

You may terminate your subscription at any time through the billing settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these Terms (including the authorization warranty in Section 3 or the Acceptable Use Policy), if required by law, or if your use poses a security risk to the service or to third parties. Upon termination we will make your data available for export for 30 days, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court as the agreed legal venue.
